Popcorn and Marshmallow Chocolate Bake.

Bakes (11 of 25)If you love chocolate and popcorn then this is the tray bake for you! I’ve been keeping myself busy by making brownies and muffins for friends and sending them in the post- which send really nicely- but it was my friends b-day and i wanted something special i could also send, and she loves popcorn- so what better than a tray bake chocolate cake covered in popcorn and marshmallows!Bakes (10 of 25)


  • 60g cocoa powder
  • 6 tbsp boiling water
  • 120g soft butter
  • 275g  caster sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 125ml milk
  • 180g self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder

For the icing-Bakes (9 of 25)

  • 150g Soft butter
  • 350g icing sugar
  • 60g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • popcorn
  • marsh mellows.


  1. Set the oven to 180 degrees and butter the baking tray.
  2. Mix all the cake ingredients together until smooth- add to the baking tray and cook for 15-20 mins- until cooked through.
  3. While the cake is cooking- make the butter cream- add all the ingredients together until combined and put in the fridge.
  4. Toast the marshmallows- place on a baking tray and cook until slightly browning.
  5. Once the cake is cooked- allow to cool and then icing and cut into little squares- top with popcorn and marshmallows!
